As a Hostess at 21 Burgers & Wings, you will be the first point of contact for guests entering our establishment, providing them with a warm welcome and ensuring a positive first impression. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests, manage reservations, seat guests promptly, and assist in maintaining the overall flow of the dining area. Your friendly demeanor, organizational skills, and ability to multitask will contribute to creating a pleasant dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting and Seating Guests:
• Warmly welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
• Manage the seating chart efficiently to accommodate reservations and walk-in guests.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.

Reservation Management:

• Answer phone calls and inquiries regarding reservations.
• Record and organize reservation details accurately in the system.
• Confirm reservations and communicate any special requests or preferences to the appropriate staff members.

Maintaining Waiting Area:

• Keep the waiting area clean and organized.
• Monitor wait times and keep guests informed about the status of their table.

Assisting Guests:

• Provide guests with information about the restaurant, menu items, and specials.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
• Assist with seating arrangements for large parties or special events.

Coordinating with Servers and Kitchen Staff:

• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
• Relay special requests or dietary restrictions to the appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate seating rotations and optimize table turnover.

Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:

• Ensure that the dining area, including tables, chairs, and floor, is clean and presentable at all times.
• Monitor restroom cleanliness and restock supplies as needed.
• Assist with basic cleaning tasks during slower periods.

Assisting with Opening and Closing Duties:

• Help set up the dining area before service begins, including arranging tables and setting tableware.
• Assist with closing duties, such as cleaning and resetting tables, folding napkins, and tidying up the hostess station.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with reservation management systems is a plus.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
